Service Projects
We are interested in facilitating any project that will help the local people and their community.
Here are some of the service projects we have completed:
- Young women have collected and brought clothing for specific people in the area.
- Several Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Projects have been completed including first aid kits, newborn kits, hygiene kits, school supplies, and birthing kits for the local clinic.
- Groups have prepared quilts, clothing and medical supplies that we have taken with us to Mexico.

CJ Kemp Eagle Project: Owlz and Kemp Unite for Humanitarian Project
On September 6th, 2010 the Orem Owlz joined in an effort to provide humanitarian aid. CJ Kemp, of Utah Lake Scout Troop 688, united with the Family to Family Humanitarian Expeditions (FFHE) Organization for his Eagle Scout Leadership project. Kemp helped the people of Tequisquiapan, Queretaro, Mexico by "strengthening families through service".
In an effort to assist the people of Tequisquiapan the Orem Owlz partnered in this great cause. Kemp collected items to build humanitarian aid kits here at the Home of the Owlz on September 6th game vs. the Ogden Raptors. Three kits were assembled; hygiene, newborn and education. The kits were delivered by Kemp's family during the expedition in October. Another way people helped Kemp and FFHE was to purchase game tickets through his website. Reserved and General Admission seats were available at regular prices with fifty percent of the sale going toward the humanitarian efforts.
At FFHE we hope to give everyone, especially youth, an opportunity to work hard in a meaningful manner. The purpose of the expedition is to complete construction, educational, and medical/dental projects with families in the community.
